OptiBMIze helps you lose weight, improve nutrition, and build healthier habits before and after surgery with support from our registered dietitians and medical professional care team.
Many patients are told they need surgery but aren’t given a clear path to prepare for it. Being asked to lose weight or improve health before surgery can feel overwhelming without the right guidance, support, or structure.
Weight, nutrition, and metabolic health play a major role in how well your body heals and recovers. OptiBMIze bridges that gap by providing structured clinical support between your medical visits, helping you make steady progress toward surgical readiness.
When you enroll in OptiBMIze, you’ll work one-on-one with a dedicated care team that includes registered dietitians and care coordinators focused on helping you improve your health before surgery and stay on track afterward.
Together, we help you build sustainable habits, monitor progress, and arrive at surgery healthier and better prepared for recovery.

Your doctor will determine if you’re a candidate for OptiBMIze. Once prescribed, you’ll receive a link to download our mobile app and schedule your onboarding call with our team. During this call our team will explain how the program works. Once you're ready, our team will complete your enrollment and send everything you need.

Each patient is matched with a dedicated OptiBMIze Care Coordinator who supports you throughout your journey. Your coordinator is available for in-app messaging, weekly calls, and ongoing guidance based on your health needs, goals, and physician recommendations.

Your OptiBMIze care team will work with you to understand your motivations, health history, and desired outcomes. Together, we establish achievable goals and create a customized care plan focused on improving nutrition, weight management, and overall health through sustainable lifestyle improvements.
You’ll receive an OptiBMIze connected smart scale that syncs with your mobile device to securely transmit your weight data. Patients are encouraged to weigh in daily and at least five times per week so your care team and physician can monitor progress between visits.

Your care coordinator will check in regularly to review progress, answer questions, and provide practical guidance. You’ll also gain access to educational resources, nutrition tips, and tools designed to help you build healthier habits and support your orthopedic recovery journey.

Your progress is monitored and shared with your physician so they have a clear picture of your improvement between visits. This helps your care team make informed decisions and ensures you stay on track toward surgical readiness and recovery.
Surgery isn’t just about the procedure. It’s about how your body heals afterward.
OptiBMIze helps patients track pain levels, recovery progress, and daily movement so problems can be caught early and recovery stays on track.
